2008 Was Good to YBI

Or is that “YBI was good for 2008″?
Either way, check out the 2008 Wrap-Up from the Youngstown Business Incubator:
Wow! What a year 2008 was for the Youngstown Business Incubator.
Our new $6million Taft Technology Center opens and a $3million renovation of the Semple Building begins, allowing YBI to operate from a three building campus by the end of 2009.
Syncro Medical Innovations is awarded a $350,000 Ohio Third Frontier technology commercialization grant, Eris Medical Technologies receives a $100,000 investment from the Innovation Alliance Fund, and FirelineTCON is a primary collaborator in an Ohio Third Frontier award of $2.1million creating the Center for Excellence in Advanced Material Analyses at Youngstown State University.
Turning Technologies is featured in a national broadcast of ABC News’ Ahead of the Curve.
Zethus Software recruits an all star Advisory Board of serial entrepreneurs from the Silicon Valley.
And YBI itself is named as one of three national finalists for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Excellence in Urban Economic Development Award and is cited as a national model for incubation success by the highly respected public policy institute PolicyLink.
Not too shabby of a year.
But, we’re goin’ go for total global domination in 2009.
