Bob Leach, Braintree’s Director of Operations, also heads the Northern Ohio IT Alliance, or NOITA.  NOITA was formed to provide opportunities for IT professionals to interact. Ohio has a network of regional IT alliances that serve as focal points for IT related activities in their areas. These are coordinated by Ohio’s IT Alliance, a state funded program that encourages the growth and development of IT businesses and infrastructure in our state. 

Recently, NOITA and Embarq sponsored an CIO Forum at Braintree.  The purpose was to provide a means for IT leaders from around the region to share and learn from each other.  The event attracted some 45 representatives from education, utilities, health care, manufacturing, banking, economic development and government, including Mansfield Mayor Don Culliver, at one of his first public appearances since taking office.

Leach, in discussing the success of the event, also noted the importance of doing events such as these in a regional setting.
